Covid...Need i say more?

And here i was excited about going out on my own... Like a blackout that catches half the world off guard covid swept our nation and states where shutting down one at a time.But i was just getting started, is this really happening? Am i dreaming? What the heck am i going to do now?!!? Being your own boss has its perks, but not in times like these.I am blessed to have a great support system and for that i am greatful. I have an amazing family and some pretty amazing clients and friends.. From the moment i got shut down i had a flood of messages asking for at home services.Ive never felt more Thankful, unfortunately i had to deny services to everyone 1.My kids and families health and safety comes first. 2. Government Mandated Shut down (Need I say more) 3. I didn't want to put my cosmetology license in jeopardy.Now i am not one to just sit back and since i had numerous inquiries about services, i started offering custom press-on nails and between press-on orders and my wonderful family i stayed sane.I couldn't wait to go back to the studio. May 9th we were able to re-open with a set of guidelines we must follow. Now let me be honest because i looked at these guidelines and let me tell ya if your nail tech wasn't doing this already.They NASTY!! Run and come see ME!! you won't be disappointed.Disinfecting after every client is standard in my book so to hear some techs don't do this just blew my mind.I couldn't wait to see my clients again, slowly I've seen most of them. Given the economic situation covid has caused, more than half of my clients were left without an income or a reduced one.I want to thank each and everyone of you wether you sit in my chair now, have sat in it before (even if it was just once), even if you've never sat in my chair at all but follow me on one or all of my social media platforms, and last but not least to you for taking the time to read this...Thank you!!! Thank you because all of you have led me to this, in one way or another you've helped me get closer to my goal.I've played countless scenarios in my head and i kept telling my self maybe i should wait, wait for a better time, wait for this to be over, wait for next year. I'm comfortable were i am at, why not just wait? Honestly I'm tired of waiting for the "right time". Why not now? I asked myself and i couldn't come up with a good enough answer.With my #1 fans by my side(Jose & My dad) and my amazing friend and fellow nail tech Lauren, Ive decide to dive in and take on one of my biggest projects yet.I'm excited to announce we've signed the lease to our very own Nail Salon.I can't wait to share this journey with you guys, this wouldn't be possible with out you. 2020 has definitely been a tough one but it definitely taught me a lot. Covid ... ¿Necesito decir más?

Y aquí estaba emocionada de salir por mi cuenta ... Como un apagón que toma a la mitad del mundo con la guardia baja, Covid barrió nuestra nación y los estados donde cerró uno a la vez. Pero recién estaba comenzando, ¿esto realmente está sucediendo? ¿Estoy soñando? ¿¡¿Qué diablos voy a hacer ahora? !!? Ser tu propio jefe tiene sus ventajas, pero no en momentos como estos. Tengo la suerte de tener un gran sistema de apoyo y por eso estoy muy agradecida. Tengo una familia increíble y algunos clientes y amigos increíbles ... Desde el momento en que me cerraron, recibí una avalancha de mensajes pidiendo servicios a domicilio. Nunca me sentí más agradecida, desafortunadamente tuve que negar los servicios a todos 1.Mi la salud y la seguridad de mis niños y la familia es lo primero. 2. Cierre por mandato del gobierno (necesito decir más) 3. No quería poner en peligro mi licencia de cosmetología. Ahora no soy de las que se queda tranquila y con los brazos cruzados y como tenía clientes preguntándome sobre servicios, comencé a ofrecer unas (press-on) personalizadas -Entre las órdenes de unas y mi maravillosa familia, me mantuve. No podía esperar a volver a trabajar. El 9 de mayo pudimos reabrir con un conjunto de nuevas reglas que debemos seguir. Ahora déjame ser honesta porque miré estas reglas y déjame decirte si tu técnico de uñas no estaba haciendo esto ya. Corre y ven a verme !! no te decepcionará. Desinfectar después de cada cliente es estándar en mi libro, así que escuchar que a algunos técnicos no hacen esto simplemente me dejó alucinada. No podía esperar a ver a mis clientas nuevamente, poco a poco he visto a la mayoría de ellas . Dada la situación económica que ha provocado el covid, más de la mitad de mis clientas se quedaron sin un ingreso o con uno reducido. Quiero agradecer a todos y cada uno de ustedes si se sientan en mi silla ahora, si se han sentado en ella antes (incluso si fue solo una vez), incluso si nunca te has sentado en mi silla, pero me sígues en una o todas mis plataformas de redes sociales, y por último, pero no menos importante, por tomarte el tiempo de leer esto ... ¡Gracias! !! Gracias porque todos ustedes me han llevado a esto, de una forma u otra me han ayudado a acercarme a mi objetivo, he jugado innumerables escenarios en mi cabeza y me seguía diciendo a mí misma que tal vez debería esperar, esperar un mejor momento, esperar a que esto termine, esperar el próximo año. Me siento cómoda a donde estoy, ¿por qué no esperar? Honestamente, estoy cansada de esperar el "momento adecuado". ¿Por qué no ahora? Me pregunté a mí misma y no pude encontrar una respuesta lo suficientemente buena. Con mis fans # 1 a mi lado (José y mi papá) y mi increíble amiga y compañera de tecnología de uñas Lauren, he decidido sumergirme y tomar una de los proyectos más grandes hasta el momento. Me complace anunciar que hemos firmado el contrato de arrendamiento de nuestro propio salón de uñas. Estoy ansiosa por compartir este momento con ustedes, esto no sería posible sin ustedes. Definitivamente 2020 ha sido difícil, pero definitivamente me enseñó mucho. Con amor, no se olviden de lavarse las manos, hasta la próxima, ¡¡adiós !!
